Dr Nick Voulvoulis is an international expert in water and environmental management, especially where science and engineering interface with public policy. He is a Reader in Environmental Technology, Head of the Environmental Quality Research Group at the Centre for Environmental Policy, and the Director of the MSc in Environmental Technology at Imperial College London.
Dr Voulvoulis currently explores the potential of systems thinking in water policy (GLOBAQUA), investigating the fate of nanomaterials during wastewater treatment (NANORISK) along with developing tools to address the conflicting demands of the water-energy-food nexus (Anglian Water research programme) as well as delivering options for “closing the loop” in resources management (Veolia research programme).
